Summer may be over, but as the temperatures drop, we’ve already found ourselves missing warmer weather and everything that comes with it: ice cream, sunshine, cookouts, and swimming. One of the benefits of living in the Central Park area is the 7 (yes, 7!) neighborhood pools that are all purposefully placed for maximum convenience of its residents. Daily entrance fees are required, but those living in Central Park may purchase a Resident Membership, which provides access to all 7 pools without paying per visit. The Master Community Association (MCA) also offers programming and activities like swim team, swim lessons, conditioning, lifeguard training, and even a junior lifeguard program.
Each pool has its own unique features and was designed with a specific swimmer in mind:
Splash Landing Pool (formerly F-54)
9888 E. 59th Pl.
303-576-6611
This pool is the newest to the community and features 2 waterslides. There is also a zero-depth entry for swimmers of all ages.
Aviator Pool
8054 E. 28th Ave.
720-941-3414
Aviator was the communities’ first pool and features a diving board and a shallow end for beginner swimmers.
F-15 Pool
2831 Hanover St.
303-393-0018
The F-15 pool has splashing water features for young swimmers while also offering two 25-meter lap lanes for exercise. The pool is framed by an open lawn area and a large playground, so you can swim and stay all day.
Runway 35 Pool
8863 E. 47th Ave.
303-371-8701
This competitive pool has a modern design with a heavy focus on swim team programming. It features eight 25-meter lap lanes!
Puddle Jumper
2401 Xenia St.
303-393-0018
Puddle Jumper was designed specifically for beginner swimmers. With a variety of splash fountains and other structures, it’s the perfect place to take your young kids. Amenities include bubble jets, splash pads, and play structures.
Jet Stream Pool
3574 Alton St.
303-296-0884
Located north of Central Park, this pool has designated lap lanes and a diving board with plenty of shaded seating.
Maverick Pool
8822 Beekman Pl.
303-373-4120
The Maverick Pool is one of the most unique Central Park pools. With a mid-century modern design, it’s designated as a family-friendly leisure pool and has its own special splash features.
Happy swimming!
