Denver Weekend Plans - Thursday, Nov 6th - Sunday, Nov 9th

Looking for things to do in Denver this weekend? This weekend captures early-November energy: crisp mountain air, city arts ramping up, and major events to anchor your fun. Here’s a curated guide to help you make the most of your weekend in the Mile-High City.

Thursday, November 6

Kick off with an event

  • Head to Empower Field at Mile High where the Denver Broncos take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10 of the NFL season, starting at 6:15 PM.

  • If pro football isn’t your jam, consider catching the iconic David Byrne (of Talking Heads fame) at the Bellco Theatre (Nov 6 & 7).

Evening suggestion

After the event, stroll through downtown Denver—grab dinner on the 16th Street Mall or explore the LoDo district. The fall weather tends to be crisp (average high around 53 °F, low around 29 °F) so bring a jacket.

Friday, November 7

Dive into arts & culture

  • Launch into Denver Arts Week, which runs from Nov 7–16, 2025. It’s a city-wide celebration of galleries, murals, public art, interactive installations, and more.

  • Visit the art-rich RiNo district, wander murals, pop into galleries, and grab a craft beer at one of the nearby breweries.

Bonus: daytime or late afternoon

If you’d rather slow down, check out one of Denver’s classic indoor sights—say the Denver Art Museum, or warm up in a cozy café. November is perfect for indoor exploration after the fall feel sets in.

Saturday, November 8

Take a scenic escape

  • Use Saturday for a half- or full-day trip into the mountains. Even though winter is nearing, early November still offers crisp autumn views in the foothills—just check road/trail conditions.

  • Consider heading out to a scenic spot like Rocky Mountain National Park or a nearby mountain town for brunch and views.

Evening in the city

Return to Denver for dinner in one of the vibrant neighborhoods (Capitol Hill, Cherry Creek, or Union Station area). Tie it into a

performance or live-music venue, or simply enjoy a relaxed night in.

Sunday, November 9

Chill, shop, and reflect

  • Take a leisurely brunch downtown, then stroll the 16th Street Mall for shopping and people-watching.

  • You might also visit a museum or indoor attraction for a relaxed afternoon: perfect for cooling off after the mountains or art-hop.

  • If your schedule allows, sneak in one more arts experience tied to Denver Arts Week before wrapping up.
