This week’s Community Focus Friday is centered around one of Denver’s newest Public Market’s located walking distance to Sloan’s Lake. It isn’t just a food hall. Edgewater Public Market is packed with 27 small businesses ranging from retail to food to bars and 9 additional rental spaces left for vendors to fill. This giant gathering hall with over 52,000 square feet of space that creates the perfect setting for community events, opened last November 16th. They had a packed calendar full of events intended to father the community to fill their halls with patrons. However, in what seems a blink of an eye their vendors had to shut their doors and quickly develop creative ways to continue to get their products to the public.

And they have done just that!

Barquentine Brewing Company is still fermenting hops and producing some of the finest belgian focused beer in Denver, which is available for pick up in cans and growlers VIA their online ordering system they so swiftly put together. You can also check out their newly developed merchandise for sale, highly recommended for flannel lovers. My Make Studio - Denver’s only DIY Cupcake and Cake Decorating Studio - has created DIY Cupcake Decorating Kits with video tutorials to guide you step by step and are offering them for curbside pick up and shipping to all 50 states. Looking for a fun family night  or want to send someone a box of happiness? Cupcake kits start at $45. Tilford’s Wood Fired Pizza is packaging up family fun pizza kits to entertain their fans during quarantine and they are also available for pick up and delivery through DoorDash. The icecream is still flowing at Happy Cone it's just being served drive through style and sold as pints. They're even crusing the streets, keep a look out for their icecream truck in your neighborhood.

That is just a few of the vendors who have gotten creative over at Edgewater Public Market. Here is a full list of the vendors that fill the halls. If they have a social media presence I’ve linked it here. Make sure to give them a follow to stay up to date with their creative new happenings as they navigate their business practices through the ever evolving restrictions of COVID-19.

Retail:

Edgewater Public Market is a wonderful space to connect with the community and experience an array of events, retail shops, bars and restaurants. While it may not be possible right now to experience this Market in it’s usual bustling state full of families and friends enjoying each other's company, you can still support the small businesses that make up this gathering hall so that it can continue to be a place to connect with others long after this pandemic is over.

It is inspiring to witness the inventiveness and creativity flowing from small businesses at this time. Keep up the good work and stay strong! Let’s continue to support each other and our communities. #wegotthisdenver
