#CommunityFocusFriday - a new thing I am trying, starting this week. Just in time for EASTER BRUNCH. Each Friday we will pick a local small business to feature VIA a blog post and a spotlight on my social media. If you know a small business that could use some love, make sure to share it with me VIA email

The first small business up to bat is - - > is one of Denver's well known Brunch spots that overlooks Sloan’s lake and the city. Owned and operated by Tim Nevadomski and his wife Susan Olsen. For Tim the restaurant industry has always been a part of his life, as he worked at his parents restaurant in Aurora all through high school. When he graduated from College his wife Susan was browsing on Craigslist and stumbled upon, what is now known as Rupert’s on the Edge - they decided to check it out and the rest is history. Fast forward 6 years and Rupert’s is now known as a NextDoor Neighborhood Favorite brunch spot and they’ve been named 2019 Best of Edgewater Restaurant and Bar by Restaurant Guru. Their hard work and dedication to providing stellar service, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, and serving up top notch food has awarded them quite the reputation. But that alone won’t fuel their business through all of this. To go orders, and delivery orders might though…

It’s easter weekend, while you may not get to celebrate with some of your normal easter traditions, you can still keep easter brunch alive, without having to cook.  What better way to celebrate than with a delicious brunch and mimosa in hand, crafted by Rupert’s on the Edge, while also supporting a local small business.

If you are looking for menu suggestions, these items come highly recommended:

  • Truffle Scramble

  • Banana Nut Bread French Toast

  • Croque Madame

And I hear they have some of the best dirty chai in town, if you are a coffee lover make sure to give it a try. You can locate their full menu here

Due to the COVID-19 virus they, like many other local small businesses are limited to only to go and take out. They are still open everyday from 7 AM to 2 PM for to-go orders and they are also offering delivery from DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grub Hub. Call 720-328-5806 to place your pickup to go orders.

We know not everyone is looking to eat out at this time. If you are still looking to support Rupert's you can by leaving them a nice review on Yelp or Facebook Reviews are crucial for small businesses and will help them thrive when things are back to normal - because who doesn’t yelp a restaurant these days before eating there. Another way you can help is by following them on Facebook and Instagram and engaging with them so that more people are made aware of their daily specials and what they are doing to still operate.

I am blown away each day by the amount of support I see our community lending to one another. I know that if we keep this up we are bound to recover. Let’s all remember we are in this together, so let’s keep up the community support and lend a helping hand wherever you can.
